Shakti may also be termed as that by which we live and have our

being in this universe. The mother provides all the wants of the

child. Activities and the energy needed for it depend upon Maha

Shakti, the supreme provider. Thus Maha Shakti is the Universal

The Divine Message And Gift To Humanity

There comes in life a pivotal point where certain choices present themselves. Once a choice is selected, life unfolds accordingly. Right now, you may be at the point of making the most important decision of your life: the choice to awaken to a deeper, more profound state of being.

Spiritual awakening happens on many different

levels (psychological, emotional, and physical).

At the root of this is the awakening of the

Divine Inner Energy, or Kundalini Shakti. The

Divine Energy is known the world over by many

names (Serpent Power, Spirit Fire, Holy Ghost),

and is the source of all spiritual and worldly

fulfillment, regardless of religious framework.

The awakening of Kundalini Shakti can happen in a number of different ways. Many aspirants engage in intense spiritual practices for many years, in hopes of arousing Kundalini. For some, it may happen spontaneously, without even having knowledge of this process. Others seek the help of Yogis. Just as one candle lights another, the Kundalini Yoga master transmits his/her Shakti to the aspirant, awakening the dormant Spiritual Energy. Once this is awakened, Yogic processes begin of their own accord. The initiation of this process is known as Shaktipat, or Descent of Grace.

Yoga Alliance^®registers both individual yoga teachers and yoga teacher training programs (schools) who have complied with minimum educational standards established by the organization.

Mahashakti Our mission is to lead the yoga community, set standards, foster integrity, provide resources, and uphold the teachings of yoga.

We do not claim to "represent yoga" in the United States, but do represent our registrants and support all yoga teachers, whether or not registered with our organization.

Activities

Yoga Alliance^® is a non-profit, tax-exempt section 501(c)(3) organization.* We maintain a national Yoga Teachers' Registry to recognize and promote teachers with training that meets our standards. Teachers registered with us are authorized to use the initials " Mahashakti yoga “ (Registered Yoga Teacher) after their name, or the initials " Mahashakti yoga “ (Experienced Registered Yoga Teacher) if they have significant teaching experience in addition to training. We issue registry marks (logos) for enrolled teachers to use in their resumes, advertising and business endeavors.

Yoga Alliance^® also maintains a Registry of Yoga Schools to recognize yoga teacher training programs of at least 200 or 500 hours. Registered schools are authorized to use the initials "RYS^®" (Registered Yoga School) after their names, and receive certificates of registration as well as registry marks. Once a school is registered, all graduates of an RYS^® are automatically eligible to register with us as RYT^®s.

The Registries are advertised and promoted to the general public, organizations that employ yoga teachers and organizations that review yoga teachers' credentials.
